Elected on November 8th, 2005, Mayor Frank Guinta is currently serving in his first term as mayor of Manchester.

A resident of Manchester’s North End, Mayor Guinta is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in politics and philosophy. He also holds a Masters degree in intellectual property graduating from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, N.H.

Guinta has a strong and diverse background in New Hampshire public service. In 2000, he was elected to the first of two terms to the New Hampshire Legislature. A year later, Guinta was elected Ward 3 Alderman, representing Manchester’s downtown, which he also served two terms.

Since being elected mayor, Mayor Guinta’s reputation for delivering results has earned him a high approval rating among Manchester residents. Among his main priorities, are: providing our children with a quality education; increasing public safety and security; revitalizing Manchester’s' neighborhoods; promoting fiscal responsibility and delivering tax relief to our citizens.

Guinta’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In 2001Frank and his wife Morgan were named to the Union Leaders first “40 Under Forty”. In 2007 Business NH Magazine named the Mayor as one of the ten most powerful people in the state.

The Mayor also makes time to serve  on several boards and commissions including Intown Manchester, Inc., SEE Science Center  and A Way To A Better Living, Inc.

Guinta met his wife, Morgan, while both were students at Assumption. They are the parents of two children.
