Take some time to look
through the pages and learn where I stand on the issues that both affect
our lives now and will affect our futures. That is really what this
campaign is about-- the future of this city. You are all a major part of
that. Whether you are in high school, college or getting a graduate
degree, you are all only a short time away from getting into the
workforce. Once you do, you’ll look at getting good paying, secure
employment. You’ll want to buy a home and raise a family, hopefully in
Manchester.
Our job now is to make sure
all those opportunities are available to you when it is your time. If
this city keeps going the way it is it will not be a place you can make
your dreams come true when you graduate. Taxes have increased every year
for the past six making it increasingly more difficult for young people
to buy their first home. The unemployment rate has gone up 75% in that
time period because we aren’t working hard enough to bring new jobs into
the city for people coming out of school. We need to change this and I
need your help to do that.
Many of you have worked
campaigns before and know how important energetic young people are for a
campaign. For those of you who haven't, ask around you'll find campaigns
are a great mixture of lots of work and an incredible level of
excitement and fun. It is truly rewarding to be part of something that
works for change and succeeds. With your help I can do that. This will
be a tough race, so I need you.

register and vote in these elections. We also need help with events,
phone calls, sign waves, rallies, organization etc. Internships for
credit are available through the summer and/or fall semesters. If you
